Rise and Recline Chairs are becoming a sought-after product this year, with the major manufacturers struggling to keep up with demand. Some retailers are quoting 16 to 20 weeks for a chair to be delivered, which is too long when considering what the chair is required for.

We at Life and Mobility Solutions have been aware of the extended lead times for a while and decided to offer a range of British-made rise and recline chairs that we could deliver from our own pre-made stock within a few days. We have various sizes and fabrics to choose from, and the chairs are on display now in our showrooms. Located at Melksham, Coxley Wells, Trudoxhill Frome, Warminster and Shepton Mallet, our showrooms have various models for you to try for comfort and size.

Rise and recline chairs come in various sizes and can also be made to measure to ensure excellent comfort. You should always sit in the chair before buying it to ensure suitability. Our experienced advisors are always on hand to advise on the different aspects of the chairs.

Back Styles

The chairs have different styles of back, for instance, which are not just for looks but are designed to offer different levels of support. Button back, lateral back, two cushions split back, and three cushion waterfall being the most popular.

In addition to size, style and fabric choice, the chairs have motors to power the rise and recline functions which are controlled by a handset. This is similar in size to a television remote control and is simple to use. The chairs can also have a battery backup, so should you have a power cut, you can still use your chair.

There are single motor, dual motor and four motor chairs available which we can explain in more detail in person in one of our showrooms. It is much easier to appreciate the various functions by trying the chairs out.

The chairs also have different “actions” that will deliver different recline levels and leg lift heights. For example, a standard dual motor chair will feel different to a tilt-in-space action chair and needs to be tried to judge which suits best, although the chairs will look similar.

We offer a full engineered delivery with all our chairs, so our engineers will deliver, set up and demonstrate how to operate the chair. Then they will clear all the boxes and packaging and take it away with them.
