PAWS combines functionality and ergonomics with a modern, sleek design. This revolutionary wheelchair add-on can transform a manual active wheelchair into a motorized electric one. Use your wheelchair independently to go shopping, commute to work and discover new places. The PAWS gives you the confidence and independence you deserve.
This excellent wheelchair add-on is compatible with most active wheelchairs (with widths from 295-540mm). Junior versions are also available of the City and Cruiser models, which will fit a more narrow wheelchair (with widths from 240-295mm). We also stock our own active wheelchair, which is highly compatible with the PAWS.
Engineers and ergonomists have worked together to create the most simple and convenient universal docking system. Long lever arms, in addition to quick release clamps, makes manual clamping fast and easy. An automatic clamping system is also available as an option for users who require it.
Two handlebar options allow for a wide range of users to easily control the PAWS. For users who have average upper body strength and control, the standard controller should be ideal. The tetra controller option allows for very easy operation, ideal for users with diminished upper body strength and control. The handlebars are also adjustable to ensure all users can find the most optimal driving position.
The PAWS also features a traction mode. This is especially helpful when riding on slippery terrain or slopes. A single disc brake is used for braking; the size of the brake varies on the model. The single disc brake can be controlled by both brake levers, and if heavy braking is ever needed, both the levers can be used together.
To further enhance the practicality, the PAWS is IP54 waterproof, so rain and puddles will never be an issue. This wheelchair add-on also features lithium-ion batteries, which only require 5hrs for a full charge. Users can reach ranges of up to 40km (28 miles) depending on user weight, terrain, weather and model chosen. The lithium batteries are also flight friendly, making the PAWS the perfect travel companion.

Each model has its own wheel, which differs in size and purpose. For example, the PAWS City 12″/14″ is ideal for streets and even indoors due to its short wheelbase and compact truing circle. Whereas the 16″ cruiser is a good all-rounder ideal for mid to hard terrain. The 20″ tourer has the option of two-wheel widths. The 2.5″ is more of an all-purpose tyre, while the 4″ is a mountain bike style tyre which is more suitable for rougher terrain.
